Swiss Men's 7s Team takes 6th place at European Championship
June 20-21, 2015, Zagreb (CRO) – The Swiss Men’s 7s National Team played in the Rugby Europe 7s Division B Championship in Zagreb on the weekend of June 20-21, 2015. With the winner of the tournament qualifying for a place in the European Olympic Qualification tournament in July in Lisbon, there was a lot to play for in this Division B tournament. Ireland, big-time favorites coming into the tournaments, breezed through the field winning the Cup, and snatching the European Qualification Tournament spot.
Switzerland had a mixed performance, with some very good matches, and some which did not go its way entirely. Switzerland finished 6th in a 12-team tournament, taking second place in the Plate division.
