Switzerland wins ENC2A Match against Malta 23 to 20
On a sunny, mild Maltese spring day, Switzerland faced Malta on the island in its second European Nations Cup fixture of the 2015 spring season. Switzerland got off to an early 6:0 lead, after slotting a penalty kick and following it up with a drop-goal in play. Switzerland went over for two tries before the end of the first half, before letting Malta in for one of their own. A last penalty kick of the half by Malta made the halftime score Malta 10 - 18 Switzerland.
The second half got off to a similar start as the first half, with Switzerland constantly keeping the pressure on their opponents, and being rewarded with another try: Malta 10 - 23 Switzerland. In the remainder of the match, Switzerland relaxed the pressure a bit, perhaps too much, and allowed Malta to fight its way back into the game. The valiant Maltese came back with a converted try followed up by a drop-goal, making the final score Malta 20 - 23 Switzerland.
